kl was out of my list coz totally no related news about her. i think she done well on final stage, congratulations to ms vancouver, ms kuala lumpur n ms toronto
ps: ms vancouver body figure is the worst of all contestants.

Good for Vancouver..... not excited though. Five winners right now... a little unbelivable. Need to see her performance, but I think she did well.

Like I predicted, there was a top 12. At least I have 10 out of the top 12. But, still disappointed..... Starting to lose interest in the pageant.

Commentary to come after watching pageant. THe happiest moment for me in the results is: NEW YORK making the top 12!! Very happy, NY finally broke the curse! Amsterdam and Auckland also place. I was so afraid they would be shut out... Overall a great top 12, given that 3. Bangkok was nervous on stage (forgot her lines), that probably knocked her out of the top 12  . Great to see Montreal up there too. Melbourne has a nice figure too, wonder if she made the top 6?? Results as known right now: Winner: Vancouver 1st RU: Kuala Lumpur 2nd RU: Toronto Top 6 Finalists: Hong Kong Top 12 Semifinalists (3 of them are in top 6): Auckland, Amsterdam, Foshan, Melbourne, Montreal, New York, Sydney, and Henan |

Hey guys, this is charmaine! Didn't bother signing in. Had no idea the pageant was happening/happened until today. Wow, another win for vancouver!
This pageant is really starting to lose interest from the press, there's virtually no news. Hope everybody's been well!

After waching the broadcast, I think Kuala Lumpur should win. She was more consistent throughout the competiton and Vancouver didn't do that well in her Q&A. I really dislike how they announce the winner through votes this year. That makes this year competition looks low class. Really lost its sparks.

After watching the broadcast I understand why Vancouver won. Although she did not do the best in her Q&A, thankfully Dodo made her q&a humourous. I believe that Belle shined throughout the night for her eloquence. But I truly believed that Belle was lacking the charm and elegant that Eliza carries. She was very real at the end and spoke her mind whereas Belle just thanked everyone.
Candy was actually a bit of a disappointment for me. I haven't seen her in MCT but her movements weren't very graceful and I believe she is prettier in photos than in video. Her answers were very mediocre. I actually think that HK should've took her place as third.

Yeah, I think Eliza deserve the title since her last speech was really touching nd real. I was touched by her words too. But what I'm trying to say that Belle should win since she was more consistent throughout the night. Nonetheless, the rules said the points they got for the past rounds were not counted so I guess its fair.
I'm really hppy with the results except for third. I think Auckland should've got it instead of Candy.

i dont know why #13 didnt get top 12 nor 6! she DANCE so well! when she threw her jacket it WOWED ME. her Q&A was good as well. and she look so pretty. im pretty upset. although the winner is good i think #13 and #1 should of gotten something as well.

Agree Guest, I had a feeling San Francisco would not make it...., so I left her out of the top 10 list (she was 11th in my predictions). She indeed did not make it...... a curse?? Last year's rep. also did well, but was excluded...

I finally watched the pageant. Overall, I thought it was ok. It would be exciting if I were to watch it live, but since the results were known BEFOREHAND, it made the half cuts tedious........ and there was too much cuts, making it lose value/meaning... I would have preferred a top 10 or top 12 and then a top 5. THEN, the judges vote on who they believe the winner should be. That would probably be more exciting..... It kills the suspense when Van. was known to have the most votes..... Next time, no cut to top 3 please!! And, the cuts seem to be meaningless... because they quickly announced who would win after elimination... Maybe announcing the winners from top 6 would have add suspense. Overall, it was very hard to choose... The favorites did not do as well as expected and some contestants did well on interview, yet lost facially...... Examples would be #10 and #16....... Based on the top 12 interview only, I would have picked #1, #6, #10, #5, #2, and #7..... do not know how to rank them afterwards since they did not answer the top 6 questions. Candy was without a doubt beautiful. However... she really faulted in interview. She lacked the spark... not much smile and was nervous. Eliza gave a ok answer, but maybe it would have been better if she gave a all English answer.... Overall, she had the looks which saved her big time  . Kuala Lumpur has the eloquence, but lacked on facial beauty. My mom kept on complaining on her for being fake... I guess she was trained to speak like that. Kuala Lumpur sends girls with interview skills, so I wasn't surprised that she wore the sash Kuala Lumpur. I absolutely believed had Katrina (1st runner up at Astro 2010) or Vivien Yeo (2004 winner) performed like Belle, they would have won. They had the facial beauty and interview skills to conquer the title. I like the clothes a lot, a great improvement in comparison to last year. In conclusion, I summarized my quick thoughts of the good/bad of the pageant and thoughts on winner: Good: Clothes, entertainment (great performers!), allowed a reasonable amount of time for all delegates to be showcased, and like the scenes around Tinajin. Bad: Too much elimination cuts, top 2 voting killed suspense, the background music for the pageant wasn't very good, too much Mandarin (this is my personal opinion, since I speak Cantonese  . RESULTS OVERVIEW: Overall, I thought Eliza gave a good performance. Her interview wasn't fabulous, but her smile and elegance made up for it. The other delegates also performed well, but it was hard for the judges to find the well-rounded contestant, a girl with looks and interview skills. Thus, Eliza was the best choice available. Her speech at the end was also beautiful, so she gave a commendable performance. I guess I am not super excited/ happy because I'm a little biased and wanted another city to win... but congratulations to her and hope she has a good reign. |

i dont personally think that the winner didnt answer her questions all that great. after the dance performance she "uhm" and pauses so much. i am #13 bias!! i am team Amy all the way!!! even the MC like her answer! i dont know why the others didnt!!! if anything I STILL think she could have gotten a better chance! so why didn't she make it onto your top 10 again?
