Any fans have any news on Miss Chinese International 2010?? I read in MHK Diary that the pageant will be postponed this year....
Any confirmed delegates yet? I read that Los Angeles will be returning. I hope they do. Is Miss Asian America competing (just like last year's winner?)
Cities that have chosen representatives so far (in no particular order):
Tahiti Hong Kong Toronto Vancouver New York Foshan San Francisco - Cindy Wu (Miss Chinatown USA) Melbourne
This list is incomplete. Help expand it.

The winner is #3 Simwayn Tran of Netherlands. She was also Miss Popularity 2009. A little surprised at how Europe only sends one representative to MCI... there are preliminary pageants such as Miss China Germany, Miss China France, Miss China Benelux (Netherlands), and Miss China United Kingdom, but only one rep. to MCI...

Simwayn is 19 years of age and stands at 166cm.

My pageant prethoughts: Like in 2009, there is no clear frontrunner for the title. No delegate particular pops out at me . If Katrina won Miss Astro Chinese International, I am sure she would be a big favorite for MCI... So far I think Cindy Wu of San Francisco seems to be the most facially stunning. Sandy of Hong Kong is also pretty (unfortunately she is short).

Oh wait... I forget to mention. I think Simwayn will represent Amsterdam?? Or maybe she will represent Netherlands (like the contestant in 2005).

Singapore hasn't revealed their winner yet. But they are sending a representative to MCI too.

More news revealed!!
Just noticed that Miss Friendship Ambassador 2010 pageant was held. The winner is Jessica Lin. Jessica will go on to represent Chicago at MCI 2010.
First runner up Christine Trinh will go on to compete at MCI 2011.
Worth to note Miss Photogenic fell short once again... Melbourne's winner was 1st runner up, so as Malaysia, and Chicago too.

Happy New Year, everyone! I don't think Calgary will be sending a delegate. We haven't had a pageant since October 2006 (in 2008, we sent Delaine, our 2006 1st RU to MCI). Perhaps if MCI is held in Sept and if there will be a city pageant this year, we might be able to send someone.

Yes I read it on mhkdiary too. That would be unfortunate... and possibly the other regional pageants will need to be postponed one year... Hope that is not true. But since there is no news at all, most likely it maybe postponed to September...
