So according to wikipedia, MCI is delayed to SEPTEMBER. MHK2010 will participate in MCI2010, instead of Sandy Lau.

I heard Foshan backed out on the pageant... sad to hear that... I like Sandy to compete @ MCI, but I guess it would be great though if the year was to be fixed (meaning that winner's delegate participates at MCI during that year). I wonder what would the regional pageants do?? Miss NY Chinese is held in the summer, then do they crown a winner?

So here's an article on MCI2010 the-sun.on.cc/cnt/entertainment/20100202/00470_023.htmlRoughly translating, TVB decided to delay the pageant because they want to make it BIGGER (about double the size) than before, and they will be investing around $10 million HK (~$1.5 million CAD) in the production. An estimated 30 contestants will compete in the finals held in September, and a semi-final might be held in August to cut down the size of the contestants. Regional contestants will be chosen in around May or June, and many of them are accepting applications now.

MCI is expected to be held in September. Miss Asia 2010 should be held around that time, in October, or at latest, November.

well well just an update on the location and time- yay its going to happen at Expo Shanghai 2010 in late October!! Im not sure if all the delgates will be able to attend but its going to be great! Also, I was reading the other day...remember one of our favs for the MCI 2008 Rosalinda Lorigiano »ÆæÃ¼Ñ ;D Well she will be representing Canada at the Canada Pavillion at Shanghai Expo! I reallllly hope she has a part to play in this years MCI! blog.sina.com.cn/s/blog_557303ce0100igjq.htmlIf she represents MTL this year that would be stellar and she might just take the crown, because the current batch...nothing impressive...

Miss Asian America 2009 Queen Amy Chanthaphavong is Laotian, so she wouldn't be qualified to run in the Miss Chinese International anyways.
Miss Asian America 2010 Queen Sarah Liu just came out last Saturday. Maybe she will run for Miss Chinese International instead.
