As for Miss Hong Kong representative, it's kind of like a sucker year for Sandy Lau because Toby Chan will be representing in Miss Chinese International instead.

SOMEBODY is finally posting! So nice. Many thought it would be held in Shanghai... but... seems like it is in Tianjin. I hope many cities around the world compete, do not want it to be a Chinese based pageant......

Do not have much favorites this year... overall a weak year for MCI. MCT 2010 is going to be held in late November, so the current winner may not make it in time to crown the new winner??

My personal opinion and thoughts (please don't take it personally):
I think Sandy would have performed better than current MSHK, Toby. Sandy seems to be more articulate and pretty.
Last year's MCNY wasn't my pick to win and was a surprise winner. I am a little glad NY has a new rep. This year's winner seems has a decent chance in HK.
I wish more overseas cities compete in MCI..... not too many from China. I really miss the cities that used to send reps, such as Johor, Victoria, Hawaii, Los Angeles, Johannesburg, London (Europe needs to send MORE winners, not just one rep.....).

I am not sure if these cities are sending representatives: Calgary Manila Montreal Yes, Maisie Tran (2010) will be competing.

I haven't been on the forums in so long. I just watched TVB lighting ceremony and the girls are apparently in HK for the pageant. But this year it's so weird. I cannot find ANY websites regarding the competition!

Thanks for posting! I just saw TVB Entertainment news and noticed their arrival... It is unfortunate that the coverage goes lower and lower each year.
But, my personal picks so far, after looking at the photos: Auckland (my #1 so far), Hong Kong (looks strong), Vancouver, Toronto (again, a press favorite, but looks like she gained some weight), and Macau.
Overall, the competition is tight, no clear standout. Hard to choose the winner!

Actually, there are quite a few stand outs to me this year. My early favourites are: Netherlands (really pretty), Toronto, Vancouver, Seattle and San Francisco. I have high hopes for Netherlands. Europe has sent some great contestants!

I definitely think that the media selected the three prettiest girls as their favourites as they are mine. Toronto, Vancouver, Bangkok

After looking at all the photos one more time, I think Seattle and Amsterdam are standouts too.
