U can totally see in that picture that Leanne Li is soo much prettier than Lora Sun.. like.. Lora sun has this really "leung" aura around her..

Well, to compare, one got to do it fairly.

for example, make sure they are stacked up side by side, and with the same aspect ratio, etc.

So let's try again!

Comparing it this way, with the eyes and smiles all at the same level, you can tell Lora has the vertically longer face that is the ideal, compared to the rounder face that Leanne and Fala happened to have. I think in Chinese they called the ideal longer vertical shape face the "melon seed face" or something...

All 3 of them have nice facial features in terms of nice eyes, cute pointy nose, and thin lips, nice teetch, etc, and their overall facial features are all perfectly symmetrical - which is what beauty is all about!

The rest such as complexion, hair colour and style, eye lashes and colour, can all be controlled through makeup and other tools available at the makeup artist disposal, the possibilities are endless with their ultimate eventually look and effect!

As far as figure wise, for sure Lora got the height at 5'9", slightly taller than 5'8 3/4" for Leanne, 5'7 1/2" for Fala, and her overall figure, you can see it at the beauty commercial she was in with Sennyio Beauty and Figure - Lora's their current spokemodel.

Of course, you will note that the photo used here for comparison is NOT professional taken, the first photo is a casual digicam photo taken by her buddies, and the 2nd is a screen capture from a TV commercial for MCVP2005, so the photo resolutions and clarify are no where near as high as the Leanne photo.


Here is the larger version of the comparison photo, with Leanne's photo at its original much higher resolution, while the photos for Lora and Fala's have to be enlarged artifically with less resolution:

About that group photo at the end of the MCVP2005 with Leanne on stage, that's also not a fair comparison because Leanne is allowed to wear her hair long, and in a totally different kind of non-qi-pao kind of dresses, whereas all the MCVP 2005 contestant must have their hair curled, and wear qi-pao... the curled hair is an uglier look than being allowed to wear your hair long!

Here is that photo cropped so that Lora is standing side by side with Leanne (would you say that's a fair comparison!?!):

In fact, the curled hair made the crown Lora wored kind of crooked or not centered!

Lora was allowed to wear her hair straight at the After Party still wearing her crown for photo ops, what a difference! See these 2 after party photos taken by regular digital cameras by regular folks:

So, I'll say Lora can certainly hold her own, it's just a matter of exposure, and how she is made up or dressed. She got the raw goods for sure! I think she will go far, even though she will be doing it the hard way.

Lora is still quite young, she is only 19 right now, and Leanne is 21, while Fala is 24.

All of the Lora photos used to compare her to Leanne and Fala still look quite young, who know how she would turn out as she gets older and gets to be more mature in her looks (eg. more of a womenly look instead of young girl look)

We shall see her in a couple of years...

anyways Okay about the less high quality photos.. how about this then.. this was a Photo contest.. so i don't think their quality would be that far off



honestly the pictures with Lora wearing the crown -whether it be with her hair curled or not... is still not very good. the only pictures of her where i can TRULY say she is pretty is the MCV pictures.. others are just.. really bad..

and i also I wanted to add that the MCV promotion capture of Lora is SOO far off than the "regular" picture of her... seriously i asked my friends when i was typing this up.. and they thought that all four pictures were of four different girls.

my first impression was who's this girl with nice facial features and clear skin but fairly dark complexion look like, why is she posted here? she looks like a mixed asian/caucasian. i think to myself that she's got potential with the right makeup! LOL! did not think she is the same Fala Chen until i read the comment (with foundation makeup, she sure did achieve the porcelen skin effect)

i could not help it, so i put them side by side to convince myself, that they could very much be the same person!



same goes for lala comment about lora between her party pic, mcv promo pic being different girls, i guess girls these dayz could be made up to look like wildly different looks, ppl like fairchild or the mcvp org have to have a trained eye to spot the raw material, any use their experience to tell themselves about the possiblilites to turn any of these girls into starz!

just like material in nature when in the rough or raw, like diamonds, jade, gold, etc, they don't look too attractive right off the bat, it takes a trained eye to spot the potential and turn it into brilliant jewely or works of art. in this case, we're talking about spotting girls with faces and figures that has potential plus raw talents, and most of all, attitude (that something special)

that's not Fala.. just because on friendster her name is Fala doesn't mean they are the same person. that girl's profile says she's from sinapore. whereas Fala Chen is from New York (or Hong Kong is she choose to put that)
