Actually, Louisa's title was Miss San Francisco Chinatown, which I believe is a title awarded to the highest scoring contestant from San Francisco and not considered as 2nd RU, as that is another title. I remember someone clarified that a while back on this forum.

Wow... this year has such high quality girls! Tough competition... it all boils down to the final night! Are the girls only judged by their performance on the final night, or are they also judged before that?

thanks weesa for the reuploading of the picture!! you're so right, christine is gorgeous. i'm so happy that its hong kong, toronto, and vancouver that are the standouts, it just reminds me of the good old days when those 3 would be the main competition anyways haha. its so fun! (probably because i'm biased towards hk and toronto/vancouver) hahaha...

anyways, back to MCI... i don't really agree with most of the press, as I believe this year is a lot better than last year and in fact it does have many standouts as many of our wonderful forum members have pointed out! does anyone know when the tvb website will be up and running? and when is the actual big day?

skye logn hair is fake,

she is short hair in pre-MHK2008, and become long hair after MHK because TVB thinks she long hair looks good.

It is not fair, because MCI depand on the hairstylist and clothing, makeup. TVB appointed which hairstylist and clothing for MCI09, so they know which hairstyle suit Skye.

Anywhere, I truly didnt make this video below in yuotube just that I search MHK07 and I found it. But she is MCI08 1RU!!!! CONGRATULATION

omg aime... Although the video was funny (in a mean way), I feel so sorry for Kayi! I'm glad she handled the negative press well after she won. I think Skye's look has matured ever since MHK, she looks more elegent now!

Oh right chatterbox. Does that mean Louisa got into MCI because of her Miss Chinatown San Franscisco title, or because of her Miss Asian America title?

*sigh* There's like 10 days left to the competition, and yet, official pictures aren't up yet! It'll probably be up this weekend though. Oh and madeinhk, the competition is held on January 17 at Foshan.

something looks so scary about miss singapore. sometimes she looks so skeletal, when she smiles she looks like she has no jaw and those dimples look CARVED in her face. she's from a very rich family no? i thought singapore was very clean and had no corruption? haha

anyways, those High quality pictures from the mall that weesa found (THANKS VERY MUCH!) leads me to believe that Toronto, Germany, and #11 Kut Lam? (i don't know the mandarin pronounciation... jilin?) are the standouts, the rest blend into the background.

The promo clip looked really nice - it just flashed too fast! You can't even see all the girls clearly. I'm tempted to pause at each one to get a better look XD

*no wonder I had a hard time seeing them all - the whole thing is only 15s long! Christine's dress is really cute! So is Kuala Lumpur's ...do you know how many times I watched this to get who was who

Yah, the promo clip passed by way too fastIFor some reason, Christine didn't really stand out that much to me. Maybe because I haven't heard her speak yet. Apparently, her cantonese is quite good too!

In some pictures, Singapore looks ok, but in others, she looks a bit weird... maybe it's because of the angles? Perhaps...

Thanks everyone for the comments, I feel the looove. Thanks ahyee for telling me that Christine's cantonese is very good (it improves her chances most definately!). I always thought she knew some as her Miss Chinese Toronto bio had Cantonese as a second language. I still love how Christine said she HAS to be humble =P i know if i looked like her i probably wouldn't be as polite and well mannered as her. I also saw her interview for What's On on Fairchild last Sunday, she speaks very well and eloquently... did anyone else see it or want to comment on it?

aime is our own little forum troll, but she's just so cute and funny i love her haha. yes aime, i agree, if tvb can't even give us a website with professional pics, let fairchild organize it! haha

lythial you're not alone, i swear, half of the 'views' for that youtube link are probably me re-playing it over and over again. please let there be longer onessss... please tvb? and tvb, please don't make the pageant be like last year's MCI, it was horrible. Make it special!! make it beautiful!! make those girls loook fiiinnnnee! (or give it over to Fairchild to do! *sarcasm*)
