yeah, apparently some of the mainland contestants (4, 8, and another one) have some very racy photos from previous jobs out there... Apple Daily had a few out there.

madeinhk, I definitely agree with you in that the contestants this year are of very high quality. I'm not quite sure why the press is so negative all the time. This seems to be the case every year when a new batch of contestants comes out, where the press always states that there are no particular standouts, but there clearly are.
Anyways, I think all the girls are beautiful this year. Its so hard to pick favorites with such little information about the contestants. Toronto and New York are definitely on the top of my list so far though.
I am also surprised to see how many girls this year can speak Cantonese FLUENTLY. Talk about competition! I'll definitely be more engaged in this year's show since I'll be able to understand the responses more clearly during the Q&A. How exciting!
And does anyone know whether TVB will be producing official portraits this year? There isn't too much time left before the competition and I haven't even seen the pageants faces clearly yet! I hope the girls will be getting makeovers (that's if they haven't already), where like the previous years as you can really tell the difference with a simple hair cut. Will there be a talent portion this year? It seems like they've already done the talent portion during the earlier events, where CiCi won the cultural award, but I would find it very entertaining if included in the actual show!

Sorry I had no idea what you are trying to say in your post but then again, the photos last year looked pretty bad in terms of production and the delegates themselves. I had a dream how the photos were of the girls with a white top and flowy hair with a dark night city/ sparkly background and I was saying how Vancouver was going to win! Haha but I am biased of course. |

ahyee - I don't know whether Louisa was sent because of her Miss Chinatown or Miss Asian America title. Good question, though! Perhaps someone else in this forum can answer that. =)
I find it funny that the article on Singapore repeatedly mentioned that she isn't a "spoiled little rich girl", yet the tone and information conveyed clearly promotes the opposite. It basically mocks her. But then again, with the information she gave, she was kind of asking for it. I'm sorry, I don't find her the least bit attractive at all.
Thanks for posting the links to all those pictures and youtube clips, guys! So great to see active forum posters during this time of year!

The beautiful girl may not have the most flattering picture. Like Samantha Ko's picture in MHK did not do her justice at all! But the official photos are always something to look forward to cause if gives us a closer look at the girls. Can't wait for them  |

it is hard to persuading people to join MCI! we need to complete regional first. I feel both have no mind as well as TVB. i personally feel both of them (or even MCI08 top 3 winner) are not pretty! |
