The press asked Christine, "who would you like to look like?" Christine answered "I would like to look like my mother". "You look like a lot of pretty girls." (The press compared her to Kelly Lin, Zhang Zi Yi, Song Hye Kyo, Sonija Kwok, and Vivian Chow) "Yes, I do. However, I have to be HUMBLE. The results will be decided by the judges". I love how Christine said "I have to be humble"!!! |

the actual award is called Miss Oriental Charm Ambassador. all the contestants had to perform talents, in the end Cici won.

Melbourne skye chu went to high school with many of my friends and they all told me (and showed me photos) that she had plastic surgery, she got her eyes and nose fixed in korea, apparently she went with friends, one of them was fellow contestant in the 2008 miss chinese melbourne contest Cathy Ding.
apparently the organisers and all contestants knew about it but they didnt care, since the new organisers took over last year, they've pretty much pre-determined the winner from the get go, purely based on height and looks. because frankly, in the past, we've been sending mediocre girls to hk.

I'm really glad to hear that Christine came to Toronto at 12 years of age and actually lived in Toronto most of her life instead of just being a international student studying at a Canadian University trying to get into showbusiness. She's a real representative of Toronto! Also shows how lucky Toronto and Vancouver are with regards to pageant production and quality of pageant contestants! (Many other cities are not so lucky: Chicago as one example)

Hahaha madeinhk, thank YOU for providing that site too! Hahaha, and I should say, thank you to everyone for either providing more news/pictures or just participating in the discussion... If –|·½ïL²É´óʹª„ is called the Miss Oriental Charm Ambassador award (from piggysnout135 above), then ¹ú¼Ê·ç²É´óʹ should be called Miss International Charm Ambassador award? Wow, I also can't believe the Canadian girls bagged both awards! I'm rooting for them all the way! I think Cici is very likely to get the Friendship award (since she also won Miss Friendship in MCV). Also, Louis Liu should do quite well in the pageant too, since she's the reigning champian of Miss Asian America! Oh and here's the official site for the contestants from China.
