i dont like the official portraits last year either..... they dont even look professional...and some of the contestants don't even look like models....... hope this year the official pics are better...

For one, she's only 19 years old.. And the legal drinking age in the US is 21. Yes, underage drinking happens. But if she is going to be in the public eye and a role model for young Asian American girls, she should pay attention to what she does. |

aside from the alcohol problems... she's not really pretty eh? i never really liked her anyways. MCI needs an elegant, professional, and beautiful winner.

i agree with apriltears and madeinhk...... she shoudn't be drinking and the winner shouldn't be someone who drinks and takes sexy pictures of themselves like some of those mainland china contestants..*cough*....they should have thought about that before entering the competition...

if the press gets a hold of pictures such as these, which they have for 3 mainland contestants and the new york contestant (mainland origin?), not to say anything about people's origins, but TVB should hold the girls accountable for their actions/decisions and they should be promptly disqualified from the pageant. Girls like these should NOT be competing in these kind of high-status competitions or representing their respective cities! I'm ashamed of this year's Miss Hong Kong (Edleweiss Cheung) as well with regards to her actions. Her clubbing/drinking habits were found out DURING the miss hong kong pageant and yet nothing was done and she ended up winning as well after a lackluster performance (corruption again?!)!
i'm just disappointed by this completely, it seems as though this year has even more than usual for these sort of things sigh.
anyways my lovely forumers! please discuss, or just post some more pictures of the truly pretty girls to make me happy again! (Christineeeee) =P

lol madeinhk!!! everyone should do that...(i was bored so i just did an avatar from the promo vid) =) ..i actually like chrsitines pose better than cici's...they only shot cici's head and shoulders =( ... no action or movement......

I personally don't find the pictures persuading enough to tell me that Miss New York is not fit to be a pageant queen. She's just holding the drinks, not a big deal. And even if she's really drinking its quite normal for girls her age. Everyone needs to have fun. Disagree if you want. Don't tell me you guys haven't had alcohol till legal age.
Anyways, thanks for the screen shots of the Cici and Christine! Cici has a stunning smile and for Christine, yes she needs to smile more naturally, otherwise she's quite pretty.
Anyone know when Fairchild will be airing the Miss Chinese International Pageant?

Those avatars from the promo would actually make fantastic official portraits compare to the previous years.

im not surprised. miss new york's talent segment was a 'dance' that ressembled much of a strip dance. many bloggers were talking about how she is only beautiful, but her q&a segment was poor and talent was unfit for a pageant. (see youtube videos) ie. www.jackpo.org/tag/vicki-pon/ |
