they want to send girls who can do traditional instruments, and classical dancing performances to show the classy side of girls.. english..........hmm.............well yes miss chinese international has a very high chance to get positions in china, hk, and tw's movies/ tv dramas........so they have to at least be able to understand chinese fully, and be able to speak it.......look at last year's MCI, and MCV, Leanne got a position to film chinese drama. plus hey elva is like 5'8.

I agree Oscar!
But the Toronto organization had to look at the big picture. Elli will stand out at any competition. But Montreal already has a mixed beautiful winner who's very tall. Elli would already be overshadowed by her. At least with Elva she could prbably win the crown.

i think you guys are way too traditional...MCI is really a small competition compare dto the bigs ones..looking at miss worlds or miss universe..those girls are amazing and they are way more 'forward' and less timid than these chinese ones..thats what i dont like about the miss chinese competitions...no one remembers them after..but i think elli wouldve been one to really remember because she is unique.

I watched the MCT competition when it was being broadcasted on Fairchild. I thought the stage was kind of small. They sure had a lot of sponsors.
I would like to congratulate Elva Ni for winning the MCT crown. I wish her luck in the MCI. I would also like to congratulate Ya Lan Chen and Elli Paraskakis for winning the MCT 1st runner up and 2nd runner up crowns respectively.

Elva Ni was a good choice. She has the height, figure, intelligence for MCI.
I wanted Elli to win, but I knew she was too short to win the crown. The shortest MCT we had is Diana Wu, who stood 5'3". Anyhow, I thought Elli could have at least won the first runner up position.
The biggest shock was first runner up, Ya-Lan. She was a dark horse who came out of nowhere to capture the first runner up crown.
Jessica Wong's Miss friendship award was probably justified, but as for...nvm
