Hi everyone ! What do you think about Miss Chinese Montreal ? I think this beauty got a big chance to win. They've put a bad photo into contestants' section tho... There are some more here: www.xanga.com/chickenbuns She's in a pink chinese dress, about 1/3 down the page. She's really beautiful, isn't she ? I heard she plays flute in an symphonic orchestra ! How many chances you think she got to take the 1st place ? Let's say out of 10 ?

I think she will be the exception, who knows... Untill now, she is my favourite contestant. Hey people, I got a question. I didn't know about MCI existance untill this year. Could someone tell me the criterias that are used to JUDGE the contestants ? Smth like: age, spoken languages, talents, physical properties. I would really appreciate if someone would take time and answer me. Thanks a lot !

judges differ year by year so naturally criterias change a little, the format of the annual pageant changes too which would also effect overall judging. if u want stats then go to this forums website www.misshkbeauties.com/ and for pics www.misshkgallery.com/age; the youngest winners were 18, not much of a difference to 17 but for many ppl they will think 17 - still a kid whereas 18 - young adult. oldest winner 25 yrs old. language; i believe only 2(?) winners didnt know any chinese at all but that was in the 90s and i dont think they could get away with crowning someone who doesnt know any chinese any more, besides it miss chinese so fluent chinese should be a must. talent; having a talent comes in handy when theres talent segment but that doesnt really help u win. i think there is talent segment for mci06. face and body; theres been short winners and tall winners but there has never been a winner with a unpleasing body. having a beautiful face really does help but again like talent that one thing alone won't get the crown. generally its a combination of factors including luck. current mci winner exuded elegance during her performance, mci04 winner exuded a natural and energetic personality. but really there's no set answers except having a pleasing body

Thanks a lot, Tess ! I really appreciate your attention. Do you know if the MCI will be broadcasted via internet or through some satellite television ? Is there any possibility to get a recording of it ? I don't mind paying. Thanks.

no problem metallhammer. i dont live in canada so i dont kno the situation there, but i think mci is broadcasted on fairchild tv there, dunno if its available for all canada tho. if you have a tvb rental store nearby then u can rent it. i think its available over the internet on the mainland chinese sites(?) only if u pay, the organisers tvb doesnt do it via internet, sorry not much help.

Why didn't they say anything about Miss Chinese Montreal arriving to Hong Kong ? She should arrive to HK yesturday evening... The told about Taipei, Sydney, Toronto and Philippines, but didn't say anything about Vicki. There is no interviews of her on the site ? I couldn't find it...

I think it doesn't matter if the contestant speaks chinese or not. It's a beauty contest, not language contest. Personally, I vote for Motnreal's Vicki Ng-Wan. I think that with all these talents that she got and her beauty, she will be the #1. Even Hong Kong press and medias say it. Definitely, it would be good that she'd speak cantonese, but the thins that she speaks englilsh well and learns cantonese gives to her even a bigger chance to win. What do you think ?
