dont contestans get different awards in different contes like MCI , MCT, MCV or MCM. by the way anton 3 years, they bhave to stay in hk fro 3 year , that is crazy , i though it was only for few months.........and if u go dont u study or something , how about the contestans

I don't think they'll have time to study there. I know that TVB gives a chance to continue studies before signing the contract, but after that... And Lindsey, I'm in Montreal, I wasn't present on the press conference. Mike, it is really like this. 3 years. It's a lot of time. If we just had a chance to speak with girls who did the contest already, so they can explain to us all the hidden parts of it. This way, we'll be more sure in our decisions, you know what I mean ?

I really don't think TVB will offer a contract even if she does win, because she doesn't speak Chinese. But she might be lucky, some movie people might offer a contract like what happened with Christy Chung. Christy Chung really got her start in the entertainment business with movies, not with TVB. You don't really need to know Chinese to do movies in HK, but with TV you do.

TVB is a Hong Kong television station of course you need to know Cantonese.

i agree with you, but other participant like Miss Montreal, dont scary or lost confident if cannot speak cantonises, it should be fare to other ppl as well.

only bitter silly ppl will think some1 will get scared lose confidence jus coz of 1 thing! i read in the news that vicki is confident. for those who dont kno, carlene aguilar who came 3rd in mci 2004 doesnt kno any chinese, yes she recited a chinese poem for her talent but she only memorised it! what the judges must of seen aside from all her other qualities is the fact that she put in the EFFORT to learn more about her heritage

well now we wil never know if she would have kicked everyone asses in the pagent. she got disqualified because TVB was more interested in exploiting her than making a serious attempt to work with her.

Aw it is a pity that she cannot compete anymore. But the TVB contract does seem very harsh, I totally understand where her parents are coming from.
