Haha well, I can't exactly view the page right now, but I had a glance breifly on Rana's site at the contestants and I noticed that there's a girl who went to my high school, Siming Lu! I don't know her personally cuz she's 3 years older than me, but I remember her talking to us about debating back 2 years ago She was pretty kewl, good luck to her, and you too!

Jennifer deserved to win, she was full of confidence. some may say she was TOO confident, but she sure did stand out.
(and in her defence, her 'rich' boyfriend didn't have anything to do with her win at all. she deserved her title)

i must say, #10 emmy and #4 Ho Ping were a huge surprise. but i could see why the judges would choose them. emmy had a beautiful charming smile and Ho Ping was very calm through out the entire night.

however, i must say, it was a pity to see some girls, like #7 Kelly and #9 Michelle miss out on a place in the top 3. i thought they did an outstanding job last night.

good work to everyone never the less, it was a great show

#4 Hoe Ping purchased 3 or 4 tables and raised alot of money for the pageant.
#1 Irene purchased 3 tables and raised alot of money and awarded Miss Charitable
#10 Emmy purchased 2 tables and knew most of the organising committee, especially the translator and the judges.
#3 Jenifer has a very rich boyfriend.

Tickets were $120 each, 10 per table.

All other contestants only purchased 4 - 6 tickets.

We had a little function for meeting the judges, and one of the judges would only talk to Emmy the whole time. I don't think the panel of judges looked at the big picture when choosing the winners, they just played favourites.

I find the comment about Jenifer very interesting.

I know Jenifer personally, though not close, but she seems to be a very nice and charming person.

I am actually a friend of her bf and met her through him. I don't think her bf is that rich and in fact, as far as i know, she didn't even get a table full of supporters. I think only her family and her bf went to the night.
