So much controversy this year! I think nobody foresee this happening. I do hope we have a good winner out of all this controversy because the girls are victims in this situation. Trump and NBC and the sponsors are to blame.
Putting that aside, here are my final predictions for Miss USA 2015. This year has to be the MOST hard predicting year I've had in a long time. No clear front runners (lists constantly changing) and I'm not really impressed with anyone overall. Any girl is capable of winning tonight. I wish all the girls good luck and may the best girl win! Good show!!
Miss USA 2015: Georgia. She was my winner at one point but then fell out because of her styling and height. But, when I saw her at preliminaries, my mind changed immediately. She has a beautiful face! In this rather facially weak year, I think she has what it takes to pull off an Olivia Culpo win. I have a feeling the judges (particularly now with many formers in them) will like her. And, what I find usually in Miss USA in recent years is that the heavy favorites don't win but a sweet, darkhorse or not as favored contestant ends up winning, e.g. 2009, 2012, and 2013. Even Nia wasn't the heavy favorite to win last year IMO despite her winning Mock Miss USA. If the judges like facial beauty, Brooke will go far.
1st RU: Arizona. I can't believe I would put her in this position. Personally, I really don't get all the hype. But, she did impress me in the prelims. And, she has good interview skills. I have a feeling though she will lose out just slightly. We're see though.
2nd RU: Maryland. I totally see her winning or even placing 1st RU because there are a number of colored judges this year. She was solid in prelims so I expect her to make it far.
3rd RU: Oklahoma. She looks a lot more beautiful in CA USA 13. I think she impressed the judges enough to make the cut even though her pink gown was a risk. She carried it well though. I would like to see her place higher but I have a feeling she will end up like 2004 and 2008's representatives.
4th RU: Rhode Island. Facially, I think the state has send stronger reps. But, she has the best body in the pageant and with so much controversy going on, she may be through.
Top 10 (6th to 10th place):
Ohio (I think the judges will like her gown),
Nevada,
Pennsylvania (not sure if her sexy appeal will work for these female judges),
Virginia (see PA but her gown is even more puzzling), and
Massachusetts (she has a beautiful face and can pull of a top 5 placement).
Top 15 (11th to 15th place):
Alabama (solid in prelims and has good chance of continuing streak),
North Carolina (I didn't really like her styling but I have a feeling she'll make it),
Texas (another one that I can see missing the cut but she's representing Texas? Texas almost makes it),
Utah (again, sexy appeal but lacking some energy. Not sure if judges will like that), and finally
New York (her body is weaker than the others but her face is beautiful and in this facially weak year, she can make it. So as Florida and a number of others).
Top 25 Bubbles (16th to 25th place):
Florida (gorgeous face! Close to putting her in but I thought her presentation at prelims was quite lackluster. Can see her missing the cut but she is close to making it IMO).
Michigan (she looks good in the rehearsal pics but.. I can't get over her gown and her trouble walking on it during prelims)
Hawaii (solid overall. Like to see her make it)
Kentucky (good look overall and great body)
Colorado (has stage presence but seems like she has some trouble walking in heels during swimsuit)
California (strong sash, possibly impressed during interviews, and gown fits her like a glove)
South Carolina (great presentation at prelims but not too sure about her overall look)
Mississippi (really had high hopes for her but her rather shy personality is reflected in her presentation. If only she had the flare of Shandi, I think she'll go higher on my list)
Louisiana (hometown girl but her hairstyle still makes her look more Miss America than Miss USA)
Arkansas (decent look overall)
I expect a few from this list to make the cut. Actually, any of the top 25 can win because this year is so up in the air...
And, we have more girls like Illinois (many like her look but I don't like her gown), Maine (also a beautiful face), Tennessee (I like her gown a lot but she looks a little too masculine), and Wisconsin (good look but her one piece may have did her in).
I can't wait to see who wins!! Good luck girls!!
