Here are my top 10 picks (semifinals to be held within hours):
In random order:
#17 Grace (MY WINNER FROM THE BEGINNING!! She looks like Michelle Reis 2.0, elegant and beautiful! I'm only worried about her body but other than that, top 10 should be guaranteed).
#9 Virginia (Many people like her and was their winner. She has lost some popularity but still considered to be a favorite for the crown).
#5 She looks a little like Sita (HK newcomer singer who unfortunately died in April) and other than that, she will definitely be one of my favorites to win!
#15 Great body overall
#20 Her MCV experience will most likely help her. She seems approachable.
#14 Miss Sydney Chinese 2007 1st RU, experience will kick in for her (BTW, many girls this year studied overseas. I am impressed!!)
#16 Many HK reporters pointed out her great figure and if they mention a particular contestant, she will most likely make it.... just like how they pointed out Vancouver this year (even tho. she didn't have a outstanding body)
#3 - THIS WAS A SURPRISE TO ME. I didn't particular like her until I saw her in the pre-show. After receiving numerous rejects from bystanders in Moscow, she kept on finding people to speak Chinese and I think her attitude and personality really captured my attention. I think she will be one of the 5 girls with the highest votes to make the top 10.
#10 - She is my darkhorse. She won an award earlier and hence I think she may impress the judges.
#1 - I think she may get in via votes. Hard to tell but her experience at Miss Chinatown USA may help her too.
Contestants who I think have a slight chance of making it - 19, 12, 4, 11, 2, 7, 18
As for the others, they are alternates to my top 10.
For #13, there has been a considerable amount of gossip about her (which I think would hurt her), but WHO KNOWS? She has a chance! #8 may not be the prettiest but she speaks SO WELL during the pre-show that I wanted to put her through to my top 10. #6 has a beautiful smile (many noted that) and I wanted to replace #10 for her but... I don't know, that is only 10 spots so I can't decide!!
May the best 10 girls advance!!

OK, with the finals started already (now I remember to post my picks...), here are my final predictions:
Winner: #17 1st RU: #1 2nd RU: #15 (she is performing really well though, so expect her to get as high as 1st RU or winner) Top 5: #9 and #20 (#20 is a former MCV 1st RU so we all know how well MCV does at MCI)
Other picks: #13
#7 (She spoke well during the intros at semifinals)
#6 (Tall, great smile)
Miss Photogenic: #17, #15, #9
Miss International Goodwill (this is tough to guess): #17, #1, #12, #15 (she speaks GERMAN!!), and even #13 (Miss Friendship) all have possibilities to win this award

Well the pageant is over (already 1 weEK) and sadly nobody is coming here to talk about the pageant.
I thought the results were good. Grace totally deserved it - she had the poise + looks (most stunning winner since Sonjia Kwok in 1999) + and her performance was great.
Sisley went one place above my prediction, she had lots of confidence and alt. struggled a little in the swimsuit interview, her placement was understood.
Moon was 2nd RU and alt. she may not be as pretty as Virginia, after watching the pageant, her placement was understood. She was calm, sweet (charming smile) + body and height.
Virginia (who took 4th place) was stable all night long. She stood out but not as much as the top 3.
Vicky's 4th RU placement was also correctly predicted by me (same as Virginia). Her MCV experience helped and she had a wow figure. My only complaint may have been her repeating Sisley's words during the swimsuit interview, that certainly deducted a few points for her. She also looked really pretty in the TODAY VIP interview with Grace but during the finals, she didn't look as pretty. Was it styling issues?
I wish Kandy performed better but she didn't do so well with the first interview (BTW, WHAT IS UP WITH ALL THE INTERVIEWS THIS YEAR? IS THERE OTHER CATEGORIES OF JUDGING?), about the gun in her suitcase. Her introduction was also a little shaky (probably a little nervous) and that may explain why she placed in the bottom half. Nevertheless, she could've made the top 5.
Overall, the public and the judges did a good job!! Really enjoyed TVB revealing all the contestants' scores (may be a little cruel but it adds to the transparency). NEVER KNEW I COULD COMPARE MY TOP 10 WITH THE ACTUAL TOP 10 and I got more correct predictions. I had #12 Karen and #16 Miss Tsui as 9th and 10th respectively and they did!! I didn't want to write them up because they were my bottom 2 but now it's okay I guess. I put them in the bottom 2 bec. for whoever watched the semifinals, #16 BARELY made the top 10. She was 14th I think and I thought her personality didn't stand out that much. She may be a little pretty but other things were against her and not surprisingly, she ranked 10th.
#12 Karen - She is friendly, I like her voice actually lol but facially, she is at a disadvantage and in addition to that - her Chinese is weak. For me, she placed one spot ahead of #16 though because she showed personality during the semifinals and she seems more friendly than #16. Not surprisingly, she gathered more votes than #16.
#7 Acca was 8th on my list but she certainly impressed me with her interview skills. Hope she considers hosting, she may be young but she has eloquence!! Some 19 year olds are different though, e.x. RLF's girlfriend... uggh... I don't want to talk about her.
#13 Tammy was very humorous and I thought she possibly could've placed higher. Nevertheless, 8th is not bad considering how competitive the delegates are this year, in fact 2013 HAS THE BEST BATCH OF GIRLS SINCE I'D SAY 2008!!
ALSO LIKED THE MISS PHOTOGENIC VOTING. It may be a little unfair for #16 and #20 to go first but when you think about it, if #17 went first, she certainly would've killed the competition. It wouldn't be fun to watch then LOL so it's understandable why the hosts paired up the girls in a certain way (save the favorites for last). #17 certainly deserved the award and I correctly predicted her to win Miss Photogenic.
Rumor has it that Miss International Goodwill was NOT GIVEN OUT bec. Miss Friendship was. Talk about sadness!! I liked to see who would win Miss Int. Goodwill. I'm sure it would've been between #17, #15, #16, and #20.

And other things... international participation at pageants.
Jacqueline Wong would represent HK at Miss World 2012. Despite her great English and decent interview skills, I don't think she will place. Kelly Cheung definitely had a chance last year, unfortunately the "Beauty With A Purpose" semifinalists earned many points and took her out of the top 30. I'm pretty sure she placed within the top 50 (certainly better than 2011's 107th placement...............).
It is expected that 2nd runner up, Moon will represent HK at Miss International. I think she has a decent chance - her body is great and she has some cute features (round face) that the Japanese may like.
No idea if Grace or Sisley will compete in Miss World next year, but by the looks of things, if MW is held in August/Sept. next year, most likely, Sisley would compete in Miss World. WISH GRACE competes though, HEIGHT CAN BE FIXED BY WEARING HIGHER HEELS AND HER FIGURE MAY BE FIXED BY GAINING WEIGHT. Such a face should not be wasted.
One thing's pretty certain though - Grace would compete in MCI 2014. She CERTAINLY has what it takes to win the crown. I have her as my winner so far. Congratulations Grace, I had you as my winner since the 1st round of interviews!! Everybody was sayng #9 or #15 but I WAS THE FEW WHO SAW YOU AS THE WINNER EARLY ON HAHA!!!!!
Congratulations also to the other winners. BTW, ratings were 29, peaked at 32 points, the best ratings recorded since 2005!! NICE JOB TVB!

AND BTW, wish they switched Amigo and Cho Lam as hosts. They kept on talking about Raymond Lam's girlfriend and that was ridiculous. Totally unacceptable and quite frankly, I and many people don't care about them. Very annoying, very annoying couple.
