Current predictions
TOP 5: California Michigan (did not have her so high before, but she looks great) Rhode Island (one of the best faces along with Delaware, so if Delaware makes top 5, RI should be there too) Texas Virginia
Top 10: Delaware (a little short unfortunately.. if not, I think she might make the top 5! However, still early to call, I might have her in top 5 later; top 5 material imo) Georgia (lost some pace since first crowned; top 10 now) Maryland (the experience will help her) Nevada Ohio (improved a lot, possible top 5)
Top 15: Alabama (many have her on the list, I just find something weak in her though.. we're see how she does later) Louisiana (unstable at times.. but still in top 15) Maine (like DE, she is a little short..) South Dakota (I may have her off my list in the end because of her sash.. but nevertheless, she shined on the Kelly show) West Virginia (a pleasant surprise!)
Viewers choice (forgot this spot): DC (possibility, she has a great personality), Kansas (she looks pretty too, great improvement so not surprised if she makes it)
Bubbles: New Jersey, New York (may deliver in the preliminaries), Montana (great look, yet weak sash...), South Carolina (had her in the top 15 before but fell a little due to recent photos), New Mexico (unique look)

Decided to post my preliminary competition thoughts. I CAME UP with my final top 16, based on the preliminary competition and my overall thoughts of the contestants. Not much changed BUT I did have a hard time picking the winner... it was tough and anyone can win the crown on Saturday.
The winner I picked is facially beautiful and really would be a great Miss USA but I have a feeling she will not win on Sunday.. but well, I already picked her, so cannot change (Pageant Predictions doesn't allow changes!!).
I came up with 3 lists, one for preliminary top 15, one for my actual predictions, and one THAT I HOPE to see make it. I can also come up with one that I THINK will make it (I have a feeling Oklahoma and South Dakota may place, but, I didn't pick them..). But anyway, onto the preliminaries!!
Nevada had such great presence... Nevada will return to the top 16 after 5 years!
Delaware... so stunning, if she was taller; wore a different sash; and walked better in swimsuit, she will DEFINITELY be a top 5 lock in for me.. I have a feeling she will be eliminated after swimsuit (if that comes first), BUT, will not be surprised if DE wins it all (I really like her face lol).
Texas... sometimes her eyes look a little too glaring and might even scare some people.. but no doubt, she is very beautiful and will get noticed at Universe.
Rhode Island fell out of my top 5.. her gown wasn't as great as DE, it was hard for her short body to carry.. she will most likely end up in top 10/16.
Georgia.. many liked her but I don't see it facially... her gown presentation wasn't the best, so I don't think she will make top 5.
Virginia.. I didn't like when she held the gown throughtout the whole presentation.. CATHERINE, IF YOU MAKE IT, LET GO OF THE GOWN OR ADJUST IT TO YOUR HEIGHT!! It is a beautiful gown but holding it will not do any help... I still think she will make it based on her swimsuit presentation and beauty, and will put her in my top 5, BUT she will stop at 10 if she doesn't put her gown down...
Ohio.... yes, a big yes! I thought about choosing her as the winner but in the end, she lost out on a little facial beauty... I find her interview great though so if she wins on Sunday, I WILL NOT BE VERY SURRPISED. Her yellow gown wasn't the best but she carried it well and her body is great. TOP 5 material.
Michigan... I actually think not smiling helps this girl!! When she smiles, she does not look as beautiful... WHEN SHE DOESN'T SMILE, she looks sexy and glamerous.. thus, I think she should smile when she is in the top 5 (have her in there), she looks less attractive when she smiles.
Tennessee, Colorado, and Illinois delivered great performances. I decided to put Illinois in the top 16 though; Colorado lost out on facial beauty significally (BUT have her as a bubble) and Tennessee did well but I think she will have to be clapping..
Maryland delivered with confidence, she had one of the best catwalk, thus have her in the top 16. HOWEVER, she does look a little old.. so I think she, Rhode Island, and even the stunning Virginia has a chance to win the Ruthie...
South Dakota was once in my top 16 but dropped out.. so as Indiana and Maine (seductive look but did not perform/look as well as I expected). They are bubbles to the top 16.
Alaska moved up my list... never noticed her but than her facial beauty might bring Alaska back to the top 16. Have her on my list.
South Carolina also looked great... will watch out for her (she also makes my list after being a bubble for so long).
California... might win the Ruthie too, she didn't look as pretty as I expected.. she also tripped in evening gown (same as Alyssa). So.. I don't know if she will make the cut, have her in top 16 but don't know..
OK, final predictions to be posted later.

I am a little surprised how many fans do not have Texas as their winner... I at first didn't want to choose her (for personal reasons) but then I did find her performance to be solid/ having one of the best faces in the pageant (after Delaware who I so wanted to pick as the winner but then I didn't know if that would be possible...) so in the end, I have her as my winner. Here are my final predictions:
MISS USA 2012: TEXAS 1st runner up: Ohio (would be delighted if she wins too) 2nd runner up: Nevada (REMEMBER Brazil last year? I really like Jade and if she wins, I will be happy too, but I think she will end up in Brazi's place) 3rd runner up: Michigan (she really stood out, she was on and off my top 5 list, but in the end, many favor her so I pick her as 3rd RU) 4th runner up: Georgia (would like to see Delaware make it here but then many do not have her on their lists.. thus decided to have Georgia here because some see it in Jazz but for some reason, I don't see it facially.. she has great height and body, but don't know if she will make it past 10..)
Top 10 finalists: 6th: Maryland 7th: California 8th: Rhode Island (one of the best faces, she will need to perform better though in order to advance to 5) 9th: Virginia (I was so ready to put Catherine in the top 5 but after her preliminary performance.. I am afraid she may win the Ruthie.. thus I ranked her slightly lower.. With that face though, she can totally be up there. HOPE she changes that gown if she makes it and NEVER hold the gown again!!) 10th: Alabama (she has a great body but facially not seeing it... not very surprised if she makes it to 5 though)
Top 16 semifinalists: 11th: Delaware (really want to bump her to 10.. and even 5 but then, sense that her swinging while walking may cost her a top 10 spot. However, would really like her to advance and possibly even win!! She indeed hasthe best face of the pageant and if she carried a better sash + taller + had better runway skills, I'm SURE others will have her in the top 5...). 12th: Louisiana (one of Louisiana's strongest contestants in a long time) 13th: South Carolina (she was on and off my list but after that excellent preliminary performance, I think she's in!) 14th: Alaska (I was influenced by others to put her in because of that face!! She was ok in preliminaries but will see if she makes it). 15th: Illinois 16th: New Jersey
Bubbles: Oklahoma, South Dakota, Colorado (performed well that night), New York (sentimental reasons and many like her, hope to see her make it!!), Indiana, Tennessee (great), Missouri (ok..), Kansas (possible MUO pick), Maine, and Oregon (stood out with that tall figure).
I struggled to make room and put South Dakota (who I really liked at first) and Oklahoma in the list... but.. in the end, I left them out (have them as bubbles now). So.. don't know how they will perform, but if they do make it, it will not be a total surprise.
Some even think Minnesota will make it because of the internet vote.. but I have a feeling it will go to New Jersey or some other girl (Kansas?).
This year is pretty evenly, too hard to predict who will win, so at the end of the night though, I HOPE THE BEST GIRL WINS and congratulations to all the state winners and their families! You have all came a long way.

Probably because I am in a bad mood... (somebody annoyed me with his actions sigh.., hate him)..
Happy to see the fans' leaderboard get replaced with twitter comments but VERY DISAPPOINTED IN MUO FOR NOT DISPLAYING THE CONTESTANTS' SCORES. Really want to see who placed in 11th-16th and 6th to 10th place.
Second was the format... would have liked to see another format (besides usual 16 to 10 to 5...). Would have liked top 16 -> 8 -> 5 or another elimination method..
Entertainment was ok, I actually liked the swimsuit music. It cheered my up a bit.
As for the top 16, didn't like Arkansas, TN, and Colorado. I knew TN and Colorado did well in the preliminaries, but didn't want them to place.. wanted to see Delaware (so robbed..) and Virginia (even though she held her gown... her downfall imo) to be there. California should of also (their streak suddenly broke, a little shocked she didn't make it).
I didn't like Oklahoma a lot (don't know why many favored her) so was glad she and Colorado was cut after 10. Ironically, I expected them to advance (I ranked the delegates in swimsuit and they were in the top 10 I had...) but wanted to see Michigan make it too.
HOPE MUO DECIDES TO REVEAL INDIVIDUAL JUDGES' SCORES IN MISS UNIVERSE. Transparency is absolutely needed in such a famous beauty pageant.
