This is old news, but I just found out that Melody Chang was 1st runner up at Miss District of Columbia USA 2011 (preliminary to Miss USA).
If I am not mistaken, Melody was the winner of Miss Los Angeles Chinatown 2006 pageant (also Miss Photogenic). She was suppose to go to MCI 2006, but LA stopped sending representatives to MCI after 2005 (Vivian is her name??).
Hope Melody competes in DC or any other state again, because NO Chinese contestant has ever competed in Miss USA (except NY in 2009, NM in 1984, and a few others), not even mentioning any girl from MSHK, MCI, MCT, MCV.....
