Christine was my favorite too, but why couldn't she show some happiness like Sarah Song when they announced her the winner of this pageant? Was she that confident of herself?

i don't think Christine really cares about winning or not, it's not like she is desperate to become a celebrity, she just joined to have more experience and to have a more fulfilling life...

Was she that confident of herself? yeah, that's how I felt too when I saw her win the Miss Chinese Toronto pageant. That is why I commented that she seemed to give out a snobish vibe in that thread. I guess Christine remains calm and compose no matter what the situation is..

I really love Christine Kuo. She is the most deserving winner of Miss Chinese International that I have ever seen. Physical appearance wise, she looks perfect and gorgeous. She is sooooo pretty that I canÂft find any flaws. I also love her smile.
She always remains clam. No matter how the host challenges her, she remains cool and provide to the point answers with great smile.

Thanks for the clip, bluecloud!
I loved Cici and Skye's reactions! They were so happy! I didn't really find anything wrong with Christine's reaction. She just seemed extremely calm and poised. But I guess it would've been nice to see her jump for joy because we're all so happy for her. It's like when you buy a great gift for someone and you anxiously anticipate their reaction when they open it, but they give you a heartfelt but unenthusiastic response.

honloo,
Christine indeed is very beautiful. However, I think Christine's greatest flaw is her smile. Her smile always seem very unnatural and very forced to me.
Can't wait to watch the pageant and then comment again!

Oh Edelweiss... you'd think she'd be more careful about showing herself in public, but noooo... to this day, I still do not know why she became Miss Hong Kong, and I know MANY others agree (or perhaps everyone agrees =P)!
Oh and I agree saying that Christine should have a bigger reaction. Well, the girls have been smiling for 3 hours straight already, and they must be super tired. I guess Christine was getting tired? Hahaha I don't know...

I dunno, I didn't see anything special about Skye's or Cici's reaction, just a nice smile and bright eyes, which Christine also had. Isn't that enough? Not everyone needs to be like Sarah Song or to the most extreme, a Rowena Lam (MSHK 1976). I think they were all very elegant in accepting the award.
Christine is a very poised and hardworking girl. She prepared well for the pageant, even though being very ill 2 days before (having to have an IV saline drip). I very much agree with lalala and weesa's sentiments that she wasn't out for a showbusiness role but rather to add more experiences to her life and to represent her hometown of Toronto (I loved that, so little girls do that nowadays). She very much deserved the win as she was the standout for the entire night (lol although eric tang did make fun of her playing the flute) ... her smile during the sit down with the hosts was positively brilliant, natural, and attractive.
I feel as though Vancouver should have gotten 1st runner up instead of Skye. Skye should have gotten 3rd, as her answer wasn't that good, and what was with her extremely high score with the bikini? (she didn't even look extra good! her body is lacking...)
Kuala Lumpur and Macao should have gotten into the top 8, as I thought they really stood out. #28 (chengchow) should not have gotten as far as she got... and Seattle had really bad posture (her head was sticking out)
Otherwise, Cici's great answer and oral skills and Christine's shining brilliance throughout the night really brought prestige to Canadian girls! I'm very happy for them and they should be proud of themselves! Christine Kuo is the best Miss Chinese International in YEARS!
