Miss singtao/covergirl usa 2007?

So far i think they only have 2 contestants..im not really good with chinese..

On their newspaper is an application I believe. You send it in and they pick a "cover girl" of the month. So after December, they would have a total of 12 contestants for the night of the pageant. Then, one is crowned as the winner. That's why there's only 2 contestants so far. It's an "ongoing" thing throughout the year. So you can try sending your application in every month and see if you get picked.

1. Over 15 years of age.
2. US Citizen
3. Send in one full body shot and a half body shot (4R pictures)
4. 300-500 word essay introducing yourself to the committee
5. $10 processing fee and mail in your completed application to: SingTao Daily

apriltear misunderstood the second requirement for this contest...you dont have to be US citizen, but you need some proper paper works,like green card, student visa...something like that....

i'm still in college now and too busy to do anything else. i called them today and they said if i am selected, i have to fly to CA for interview... that's impossible for me since i have so much school work already

You personally have to decide whether or not you think it's worth it... To fly all the way out to California for it and having a 2/3 chance of walking away with nothing. Plus, I haven't heard/seen much of Miss Singtao ever since she was crowned. It's not a big thing in California and doesn't really open that many doors as compared to other pageants. (You might want to consider doing Miss Asian America... they have a good reputation and the winners and court do a lot around the community. Plus, Fala Chen (currently acts for TVB) was crowned MAA too! If that adds any more interest....)

honestly, i knew this pageant doesnt have good reputation as MAA,MCTUSA,MCNY...etc. But, i believe that this pageant is providing a good oppotunity to the girls who have NO PAGEANT EXPERIENCES and have little bit of stage-affraids. It's ok if you dont win , but, at least you'll learn something from it ! And you'll do better in the future time (if you choose to join big pageant in future).
Also , this pageant is callÐǍu´ÈÉÆС½ãßxÅe,so it is about charity, it is NOT the show that will make you become famous... whether or not you think it's worth it, i think it is oviously worthy to join it and have a chance to helping others!
