This is insane... I'm from Toronto. I waited to watch Miss Chinese Vancouver on Friday night, broadcasted by Fairchild... I stayed up until 2am to a major disappointment.

Lora was a sure win. I love the pageant. I never had any doubts about the pageant. But now, I'm starting to believe what people have been rumoring all these years. There is a "backstage". These are people who pay alot of money for someone to win.

Crystal was a dark horse the entire night. Being a dancer myself, she did not perform that well. Her hang, curls and taps were not in sync with her partner.

Another thing, I don't think this year's MCV's judges were adequate or qualified to judge. Two of them did not know the language, which needed interpreters. Two of them weren't very popular actors.

I always liked MCV better than Miss Chinese Toronto. But this year, MCV has no shot at the MCI crown. Huge disappoint. I guess it's the end of the Vancourite Dynasty.

Nevermind Lora, I was waiting for the MCs to say...oops we've made a mistake. Did you see how Eva and Steven were giggling throughout the whole coronation??? I really honestly thought they made a mistake.

I only have one question...why #10??? Why did people root for her??? I re-watched the entire thing, like 3 times... Crystal did not shine at all. Why her???

I agree Lora's reaction was a major turn off as well. However, I can't see any reason for #10 to win as well.

Well maybe that's why Lora didn't win...too confident! But I never thought #10 would ever win from the beginning...her pic looked very masculine on the posters.

I don't think the MCV pageant is rigged or anything...

Before the pageant started, I believed that Lora would have won for sure, just by looking at pictures and everything. However, when I saw her on TV, I didn't think she was as good as I thought she would be, nevertheless, she still had a very strong performance. I do believe that #10 is quite decent, she has the stage presence, the height, and she can speak considerably well even though she may not be the most photogenic, that's just my opinion though. I hope she does well in MCI

at least this yr the result is def not fair... from the audience's reaction, i believe everyone can see the unfairness. not saying #10 is bad~ but compare to Lora, #10 sure is much weaker..

you are all fools...nothing is for certain, just cause they look good in pictures doesn't mean they will win, on that night, crystal outshone lora, plain and simple. The profile pictures for crystal doesn't do her justice, and the profile picture for lora romanticized her...end of discussion

From the performance, Lora really looked the most well rounded girl, but anyway, I'm not done watching the show (it's on right now) so I have yet to see Lora's reaction. Sounds pretty bad though..

But I agree with the majority of the people here, even if Lora didn't win.. who thought it was going to be Crystal?!
