Do a predictions first - Miss Friendship should be #8 Jenny. She has been very friendly to all the contestants during the Vietnam trip. No surprise if she wins Miss Friendship.

My Miss Friendship prediction wins! Not surprised at all because Jenny has been very helpful and nice to all the contestants during the Vietnam trip! She actually has fire in her eyes and her performance has been quite good . I originally did not have her in my top 10 predictions but she may actually make it to top 10 now.
This year is one of the HARDEST years to predict in recent history! I would not be shocked if a cold door contestant or dark horse comes out of nowhere and wins the title! Actually, any of my top 8 can actually win (top 8 are fighting it out for top 5 and top 3 slots!). It’s a very competitive year and anything can happen!!

Ok here are some quick thoughts of each contestant before posting my predictions.
1. Youthful but not really feeling her.
2. Suddenly became a favorite after her recorder talent. Some people are starting to like her although her Cantonese and confidence seem to be her weak points.
3. She looks better when she doesn’t smile (at least show her teeth). I don’t think she is strong enough though.
4. Beautiful and cute! Lynn has the strongest facial beauty in this year’s pageant! My personal favorite to win, unfortunately not many people are feeling her. I think her Cantonese is her weakest point. If her Cantonese is better, I think she will be much more favored.
5. One of the strongest speakers in this year’s pageant! Confident and prepared, I think she has the goods to surprise everyone during finals night. Her weakest point though is her height. Debbie’s experience at Miss NY Chinese should help her though.
6. Youthful and confident but not feeling her. She is recognized by the HK media for having one of the best bodies this year.
7. One of my early favorites during the top 26, she is not getting a lot of attention. She looks younger than 27 but I don’t think she is being noticed by the press or the judges. We shall see.
8. For whoever that watched the Vietnam special will know, Jenny was one of the most congenial contestants this year! Facially she is not the strongest but her height and confidence may actually get her through to top 10.
9. I think she improved a lot more since her participation at Miss Chinese International 2019. Although an early press favorite, she is not getting a lot of attention now. The most recent report is actually negative press and rumors of her getting plastic surgery. A lot of people are not feeling her.
10. Hera is a big dark horse! I can see her doing well but I don’t think she will be able to pull off a win because typically, recent winners have gotten some attention somehow. If she manages to win, she will be probably the least media exposed contestant since Kayi Cheung in 2007. Hera is beautiful and speaks great Cantonese and has great height so I can see why the fans like her.
12. In my opinion, one of the major cold doors this year. Advancing to top 10 would be a huge win for her as she is not expected to do well. However, she did get noticed for being in the internet fan polls top 5.
13. Cindy’s Miss Chinese Vancouver experience may actually help her. Some people suspected early on that she is the predetermined winner because TVB actually convinced her to compete in Miss Hong Kong. I don’t think she has the strongest facial beauty (many think that she is somewhat mature looking) but she has a great smile. Her interview skills should be well so I wouldn’t be shocked if she pulls off a top 5 or even top 3 placement.
14. Arguably the contestant whose Cantonese is the most limited this year. I don’t see her advancing to the top 10 although making it to finals is already a remarkable accomplishment.
15. Is Hilary the predetermined winner? She is the big favorite this year. She won numerous awards and seems to be the one TVB loves. Personally, I don’t think she has the Miss HK aura or look but she is quick on her feet and has a great smile. The momentum is with her right now and top 3 seems to be a shoo-in for her. It’s just a matter of which crown will she receive.
16. Carmen was my winner during the top 28 interview rounds. It’s unfortunate that she fell out of my top 3 because she has a beautiful/photogenic face. She has the winners look. But, her performance and attitude thorough out the pageant has been heavily criticized. Her answers are unpolished and her personality seems to be too real. If the hosts play to her answers, she can make top 5 based on face and live performance chemistry but I can see her eliminated from the top 10 (some fans even say top 16) based on her attitude and interview skills. Let’s just hope she can light up the stage Sunday night.
17. She has one of the prettiest faces and strongest talents. She is also very confident. But, I have a feeling that TVB and the judges do not like Lovellle because of her Mainland background and her unnatural face (some say she committed plastic surgery). We will see if she can land a top 5 spot although I think top 10 is her most likely placement.
