They are a bit of a synonym aren't they? I'm guessing true.

So this is what I would conclude: open face = true face = her face shows what she actually thinks in her mind. Thanks for your help.

I got to know Yvonne very well during the last few months and she is the most sincere person I've ever met. Her exotic looks do lend to the "sexy" portrayal she's given thus far in the press photos.
I'm 100 % rooting for her.
Go Yvonne Go!!!!
Your peeps in C-spot love you =)
As for the concerns over how "Chinese" the delegates have to be to qualify, the minimum is 50%. Does anyone remember Christie Bartram (MCT 01 and 1RU MCI 02??) Christie is only 50% Chinese and didn't speak a word of Chinese when she was competing in MCI. I'm not sure how she's faring now with the language.

Being sexy is a plus for the modelling industry but not necessary for beauty pageants, especially for the Chinese beauty pageant. Yvonne looks quite pretty and her sexy appearance definitely appeal to the younger generation at large but not so for the the Chinese judges in general. The traditional wisdom for Chinese beauty queen are like seeking a wife instead of a girl friend or concumbine. Hence I do believe that the best Yvonne may do is 1st RU or 2nd RU for sure. This is just my thought at the moment until we have the chance of viewing their performances.

But Shes not doubt one of the prettier contestants. If she doesnt try to "be" sexy during the finals then I think she has a high chance of being placed

Yvonne reminds me of a girl that didnt place in the Melbourne one. So strikingly similar.

my opions 1. miss calgary is sexy n pretty but for me she is too much... 2. miss hk looks her face human being. 3. miss johannesburg too child. 4. miss kl get in to top 5 every year but this year novel looks too plain. 5. miss vancouver a bit dissapointed for me if compared with last few years. 6. i like miss new york so much coz she is really stunning. 7. miss sydney is cute but lacks of winner look. 8. miss nanning... i dun like her. MY early prediction: champion~ miss new york 2nd ~ miss hk trd ~ miss calgary finalist ~ miss toronto n miss sydney.

Jenny, what happened in MCT2006? imho abi was never in contention to place. the only thing going for her was her resume but i heard from some sources that she fibbed a lot of things in her profile. ie: the number of languages she speaks. That's the dumbest thing to forge--so easily verified lol.

Just wondering, there's a picture of Taipei on the 'Delegates' page, but I haven't seen her anywhere and there wasnt any news of her withdrawing. So is Taipei officially 'out'? And what about Nanning??

May be not, it will not be a problem for her to go to Foshan. No visa is required to travel within China from Nanning.
