Aren't the contestants expected to arrive at Hong Kong within these few days? This year is quite exciting as there are some tough competitions in there! Just to name a few...San Francisco's Louise Wu has been a performing dancer all her life and has some impressive titles under her belt (Miss Teen Chinatown, Miss Chinatown USA, Miss Santa Clara); Seattle's Katie Au, also a dancer with previous pageant experiences and titles (but I don't think she can speak Chinese so that will hurt her); and of course, Miss Hong Kong Aimee Chan who is beautiful, elegant and seems quite charming and articulate. I'm from Vancouver and I would love to see Vancouver or Toronto take the crown. Though I think Vancouver needs to up her game a bit to stand out because IMO, she didn't really shine in MCV. Can't wait to see coverages of the pageant!

I pretty much got along with everybody. Of course, there are a few you band together more often than others, but I joke with everybody. (I'm a big clown ;D )
There was not "cat fight", no arguements, no animosity. We stuck together even though in the end we were competing against each other. We were there for a common cause. Sticking together made each of us stronger as an individual. The press and viewers can be harsh, those were the times when we lean on each other.
The times when we goofed off in our rooms are some of my fondest memories. The jokes we tell, the stories from back home, past and current boyfriends...we would laugh so hard our stomachs hurt. I will never forget those moments. I only hope the girls now are creating some of their fondest memories.

Hi Lil, Thanks for telling us all about your thoughts and experiences in the actual MCI pageant you had participated. It is quite amazing that girls with different backgrounds could stick together and compete fairly like your group. One impression I got is that the regional pageants are easier on the contestants because the award/prize are not as big like as in Hong Kong. Hence the competition is not as fierce because the main award for the winner is a title with some prize and the loser still gain in experience and friendship. With MCI pageant, the contestants are title holders of their own regions and it would be like a bonus if they win anything further.
