hmm am I the only one glad that Elva didn't get placed in top 3? lmao..im glad too. i dont kno why you guys like her so much..she's pretty..but thats all. and compared to girls not in the pageant..i dont think she's anything special...VANCOUVER howeverr..im impressed by her bckground and her will to help others. THATS special. |

yes i agree to the posers above. I don't see Elva as being anything special, mabye when she can complete degrees, and set her own direction correct...then she'll be somebody special with looks.

Obviously HK didn't have to be in top 5 or else ppl will think it's rigged. Every year HK always won something, so I'm not surprised that Tracy didn't win. Tracy did well but other girls were better, d**n most girls speak mandarin too...Mct,mcv,mcnewyork...it's like an attack of mandarin girls...it feels like cantonese girls don't stand a chance anywhere, unless ur doing the miss hk. Actually I'm not sure if the other 2 title winners besides the winner also spoke mandarin....

i know many poeples didnt like mandy much but to be honest i think mandy loooks alot prettier than kate and tracy well at least she made it to the top 3 and winnnig miss friendship too and i agree she does have a better relationship with the judes and i think the judges quite like her as well. Overall i think mandy deserved her placing and winning others awards.
no offense i think ms hk 04 and 05 qualities are quite bad or maybe they didnt impress the judges much. I notice that in MCI 05 ANDY LAU said that KATE was over confidence thats why she cant made it into top 3 as for tracy some poeple said that her performace were actually kinda bad.
anyway i knda liked the winner though i think she has a cute dimples on her face she deserved her win

Yeah there are a lot of mandarin girls joining these pageants nowadays, but I don't think its because Cantonese girls don't stand a chance. I think it's just that some don't want to join a pageant? And my opinion on the winners. I'm not surprised that Elva didn't win or get into top 3. I've been following pageants for a while, and I've noticed a trend with how the top 3 usualy ends up. It's all in my opinion though, Obviously the winner has the full package, pretty, education, figure. The first runner up is usually also very pretty, and usually more photogenic than the winner and had a great performance. The second runner up is usually a contestant who has more of the 'cute' image and you can tell she tried very hard in the performance. And sometimes the second runner up may not be as 'good' as the two left in top 5. I haven't watched the MCI06 finals yet lol so don't go pelting rocks at me or anything. But an example is MCI 2004, Linda had the full package, Mandy... eh, exception lol although I think her performance was good, and Carlene carried a 'cute' image, and she obviously tried very hard to recite her chinese poem when she didn't know how to speak Chinese verywell. And of course, heavy favorites were left in just the top 5, Vivien Yeo and Jessica Xu. Yup, well theres my two cents lol. |

...but then y they set the age limits this way? (17-26 if i rmb correctly)if 17 or 18 yr old girls are looked as immature and unable to participate, the age limits should be 20 or something, right? That's not necessarily true. Monica Lo was only 18 when she won and Dianna Wu was only 17 or 18 when she won 2nd runner up. Both of them carried themselves out very well by being very articulate and graceful. |

Who said MHK didnt get any award, do you think TVB so stupid?  ?? MHK had won an award call Ceramic zCulture Ambassador, TVB create it for MHK ONLY, TVB wouldnt want MHK go back with empty hand. This award should not be MHK, as what newspaper said, what to do? TVB want it!!! |
