I didn't like the show this year at all.
The host from TVB (Stephen?) was really really bad. He struggles with Chinese and English. He just stood on the stage the entire night staring at or reading his cue cards. I don't know why fairchild even invited him. It was like one man show for Lora..she basically did all the talking..in mandarin which was frustrating because I had a really hard time understanding, though I could tell that she did a great job at speaking.
The Q&A segments were horrible. I didn't understand what the questions were half of the time as the fortune cards flew off the screen so quickly. Nobody shined in that segment. No offence, but a lot of the answers were really ridiculous. I can't believe Eliza answered approx. 70% of her question in French...what was she thinking? It's a Chinese program! I guess we can blame it on the French host for leading her on. I wonder how she was judged during that segment since probably no one understood what she was trying to come across.
What happened to the talent portion? I always looked forward to that...but there wasn't one this year, how disappointing.
Things I did like: pole dancing...really different, but the video came out great! Shu Yi's performance was really good too, she stole the show even though she wasn't a contestant that night. The costumes and dresses were really stunning too.
The results came out okay. No one really shined like in the previous years. Maybe that's why the awards were distributed so evenly. I don't like the way Eliza's head gestures while she speaks, but aside from that she looked very beautiful and confident the whole night. I thought Jenny Xue did really well that night..surprised she didn't win one single award. Did anyone notice during the Q&A segment how #1 Jinting was gasping for air while she spoke? Poor girl, I bet she was really nervous, especially having to go first.
Did the venue get smaller this year? The stage was so small it seemed like the judges and the audience was literally right in front of the stage.
Anyways, congratulations to all the contestants and good luck to Eliza in the Chinese international pageant!

And I did notice Jin ting's gasping for air. Actually, she sounded like she was going to cry. I think the fact that Eliza spoke French actually earned her more points than anything else! At first I thought it was odd since she was the only contestant who had a question that was irrelevant to the tarot cards. But they do want a winner who can represent Vancouver internationally (ie: fluent in many languages) so Eliza was perfect for that. About the stage. They changed the venue this year from the Vancouver Trade and Convention Centre to the the River Rock Show Theatre which is smaller. Comparing to previous years, this year's stage seemed less extravagant. Toronto actually had a better stage this year!

Thanks for the reviews guys!
I think Eliza has a very cute look, and yes, she does look like a chubbier version of Miley Cyrus! HAHAHA! I can't believe she's 25 years old though...

Luke Bryan is my favourite US contry singer. His strong voice takes me away from all troubles of this planet and I start enjoy my life and listen songs created by his mind. Now he is going on a tour this year. The concerts scheduled for this year, up to the 12th of October. Ticket prices are moderate and available for everyone. Florida Georgia Line is my favourite contry band. Headliners Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard are those guys that could make anyone sing along. That's why I like to attend their concerts. And - that's surprisingly beatiful - in 2019 they have CAN'T SAY IT AIN'T COUNTRY TOUR which covers all the US cities and towns. For tickets info visit Florida Georgia Line Concerts 2020.

Breaking Benjamin is my favourite band of 90s. They had so many hit songs! The ones I remember are 'The Diary of Jane', 'Tourniquet' and, of course their hit 'So Cold'. These are real songs, not fake ones like today! And it is sooo good that Breaking Benjamin have a tour in 2019! And I'm going to visit their concert in 2020. The tour dates is here: breakingbenjaminconcerts.com. Check it out and maybe we can even visit one of the performances together!
