Why TVB arranged to have 4 out of 5 judges from its own staff? I don't think it is a smart move because MCI is organized by TVB.

it would be more interesting, if they chose the judges from all over Asia, something like that.

Exactly what I was thinking, smileygirl728.

I agree, sure the winner was good in Q & A but it was surprising to see a real beauty like Hong Kong, Vancouver and New York missing out on a placement! The TVB judges emphasis on the Q&A probably affected the results tremendously.
Judges from the other TV stations or more neutral judges from across Asia would definitely have been a good idea!

It is clear by now that Miss Hong Kong never get a chance to win anything from day one. Just think about it, what we are going to say now if Miss Hong Kong won the titile. TVB never gives Miss Hong Kong a chance to win simply look at its choices of the judges, 4 out of 5 are TVB artistes. TVB's decisions are all commercial indeed. What is the benifit of making Aimee the winner?

gawwd tvb stuff are ALWAYS BIASED. im always gonna disagree wif the stuff tvb is organizing....disappointment at the JSG and now this. Obviously the actors dont know a thing about judging and they shoulda at least chose more experienced ppl or sum1 like michelle reis....i dun think roger kwok or steven knows how to judge

actually, i think the reason why tvb will choose their actors and actresses to judge is because the event is held in foshan. they might want to invite those more who are professional to judge. but maybe those people do not want to travel down to foshan as compared to tvb (previous yrs) which is more convenient to them.

they dont want to travel down to foshan? all is included by TVB
If tvb want to choose who is the judge, they are set to choose own people.....that is not fair

THINK pls mcimci!! MCI 2007 is over. so please stop on ya nonsense on all the unfair craps.

I think this is a better thread location for my previous comments posted:
Aimee's fans may be disappointed that she did not make it to the top 5 at least. I do believe Aimee never has any chance once the judge panel was announced. This is my thoughts:
(1) 4 out 5 judges are TVB's own artistes; if Aimee were crowned MCI 2007, how would the world look at it. TVB had well planned to sacrifice Aimee for the commercial value and appeal of the future MCI pageant;
(2) 2 of the 5 judges are "Don Kar" actresses of TVB one is MHK 2000 and one is MHK 2nd RU they may see Aimee as a threat; they for sure would be tough on giving marks on Aimee;
(3) insiders have mentioned that Aimee has trained so hard for her talent performance and hers is one of the best among all. The best timing to pit Aimee is at the top 5 cut. Otherwise, it may be too obvious and cause some controversy over not giving her of anything after her excellent performance seen by the audience;
p.s. Aimee's muscle shown on her recent pictures is the result of her training so hard for the show. A lot of insiders feel so sad for her not having the chance to perform it. Anyway, Aimee, you had given 100% effort of yourself. Yet, TVB is 75% and Hong Kong press is 25% on your side. You have tried your best and should have no regret. God bless you.

Just like Myolie Wu's fate in "Best Actress" case, TVB knew ahead of time about who is the winner, but they still created such hype between Charmaine Sheh and Myolie Wu; then at the night of awarding the winners, Do Do, follow the scripts, still interviewed Myolie about her feeling seconds before the final moment. This is cruel and totally uncalled for. It completely disregards the human feelings. No problem as long as it can generate public hype. I felt extremely sorry for Myolie that night.

Aimee spent two weeks learning and training for this part of the program. It is something like Kung Fu with sword and legs split. The insider who watched the rehersal said it is really amazing and hard to believe that Aimee can learn so fast. In just two weeks, she must have worked very hard. No wonder her muscle are so obvious on some the newspaper pictures.
