Since the new Miss Chinese International 2007 will be crowned this Saturday, January 20th and it's the final week of the competition. Why don't we all have a discussion about who our predictions of the Top 5 and award winners will be? There hasn't been as much coverage of this year's competition in my opinion as compared to previous years, but I'm sure we're all here on the forum because we express interest in the pageant. So, here goes... post your Top 5 Predictions and Award Winner list (which you can update and change up until the night of the competition) and let's see how close we all get! How does that sound?  Sooo... here are my choices as of today PREDICTIONS Winner: New York (she is looking better and better as the competition approaches) 1st RU: Toronto ( is looking sharper than she did for MCT) 2nd RU: HK (she has been handling the competition and rumors/media quite well thus far) Rounding out the Top 5: Vancouver, Calgary or Kuala Lumpur WHO I WANT TO WIN Winner: New York 1st RU: Vancouver (her official picture and other pictures thus far makes it seem, to me that she lost her "sparkle"/"shine" back in MCV.. we'll see.) 2nd RU: Hong Kong Rounding out Top 5: San Francisco (just because she has such a sweet personality), Calgary. That was long.... soooo what are YOUR predictions???  Let's keep this as a constructive discussion about the competition, no bashing of ANY of the contestants.  |

Here are my thoughts this year:
Winner: New York
1st RU : Kuala Lumpur
2nd RU: Calgary
Rounding out Top 5: Hong Kong and Toronto
Here's to all of the 21 delegates that I know will make their respective cities proud them! Good luck to all! You are all winners just by being in MCI!

My predictions:
Top 5: New York, Hong Kong, San Francisco, Pearl River and either Nanning or Calgary.
Winner: New York
1st RU: San Francisco or Pearl River
2nd RU: Hong Kong
There isn't a lot of news about San Francisco but I see a lot of potential in her. I've seen non-MCI pictures of her and she has such a beauty queen air to her with a sweet personality! Pearl River isn't that pretty but she's been performing consistently well. I'd love for Vancouver to place in top 5 but like apriltears said, Susanna has lost her shine.

I think being this is the first year Mainland China will be represented at the Pageant,
either Nanning or Pearl River are certain to make the top 5 and probably finish third.

RANA: when will the webmaster's choices be posted? hi! it'll be posted sat jan 20th midnight or so i just sent out a mass email to all the webmasters today. hope to hear from them soon. still debating between 2 girls for first place... going to wait till friday to decide & will post the predictions in the news later. |
